In 1985, the company—launched by Paul Ampe and Xavier Boucknooghe—became part of an Ampe Frères diversification strategy.

1985
The company Artifil is born. The company—launched by Paul Ampe and Xavier Boucknooghe—became part of an Ampe Frères diversification strategy. Little by little, Artifil found its feet. The company was manufacturing frames for suspension files and jam-jar fasteners for its two clients. Its range of products began to grow thanks to the arrival of their first digitally-controlled machines.
1995
The company obtained the ISO 9001 standard and began to work for automotive industry professionals. ARTIFIL is becoming more and more efficient and is attracting new customers in many other sectors (household appliances, agriculture, plastics, industry) to propose solutions for metal wire work.
2000
Artifil takes over the activity of Ampe Frères in Halluin, in the North. This is a step forward for the company, which will not stop expanding, neither in terms of its range of products nor in terms its customers.
2005
The Tunisian production cluster enables Artifil to meet the qualitative and quantitative needs of its 125 client companies that are now reliant on them.
2012
ARTIFIL invests in a new building of more than 7,000 m2 in Chaumont, so that it can concentrate its human and technical resources at the crossroads of Europe.
2015
Artifil acquires GEISS and is equipped with injection-moulding machines, to develop its new plastic injection business.
